He is trying to be respectful, but he is just so used to expressing himself freely and so used to not giving a fuck, to thinking that he is entitle to be who he is fully, even if he is an asshole who curses all of the time, he owns it, so much that he cannot help it, by the way this is something that you can see very clearly in Gary Veynerchuck, and that authenticity is what causes women to become irresistibly attracted to Hank Moody.
Now this is also important, the nun, and again I know that this is a TV show and they are taking things to extreme fantasy levels, but the principles still apply in real life, the nun, offers him a blow job and the other girls in the show start offering him sex all of the time, because he acting in this way, makes them feel like they can take that sexual bitchy I want to fuck part of themselves and express it safely with him because they feel no downside.
As you keep moving forward and start opening your mind and stop judging yourself and others and you become more authentic, what is going to happen is that other people around will also start to open up and will become more authentic with you, and then you will start to see this new sides of them that you were not able to see before.
So with women this means that as you judge them less, by judging you less, they will start to show you that sexual part of themselves, they will feel safe to be sexual around you and tell you all of their little secrets and of course be a lot more sexually forward with you, but while you keep judging they will not show you that crazy sexual part of them, you will only be shown the prude reserve side of them.
In this next scene he sleeps with a women that has a couple and then he has to run away. The guy is going to kick his ass, and how does hank act? Being selfish we often are stubborn when it comes to apologizing for doing something wrong. We make up excuses and rarely admit our mistakes. Hank recognizes the importance of admitting when you're wrong and also optimistic that he will beat his demons. You see, a lot of us are unhappy with the person we are on the outside as well as on the inside.
However, instead of making an attempt at fixing or even seeing our own faults we dismiss them and never strive to improve. And anyone who hangs faithfully by someone who has to apologize for the same repeat behavior, should probably have the air in their head let out some. Maybe we should just try being ourselves.

I'm with Ross on this one. I think a lot of people look to fictional characters because it's easier, sometimes, to point out characteristics that we admire or otherwise appreciate. There's a lot of guys who dig on Don Draper and Roger Sterling style. Just do. I think Ross makes a good pull on these points, also.
