Why optimus prime is the best

The Autobots seemed to have been wiped out in a surprise attack by Starscream. This was a futile effort because the Autobots were never in the airship that blew up. They were able to sneak behind enemy lines and encountered Sam and rescued him.

Sam was shocked to see them alive even after he saw their airship blow up. There Optimus explains to Sam that the decepticons are not to be trusted and Optimus declared that they were going to take the fight to the decepticons.

Optimus had regained his consciousness after his was turned into Nemesis Prime after which the Autobots and Knights gathered in their preparation to storm Cybertron. Optimus gave a very powerful speech that inspired his comrades to fight for both worlds.

He even volunteered to lead the way into Quintessa's ignition chamber. The last sentence in his speech was exactly this; "Let those who exist long after us know, that this was our finest hour.

The autobots were victorious after the battle to stop Lockdown the bounty hunter and save mankind from its own creations. Optimus was able to get his hands on the seed that would have been used to bring about the extermination of the humans. After saying farewell to the autobots and his human friends, he parted ways with them, but not without some words of encouragement and reassurance.

Returning more to form, Optimus Prime gets some amazing cameos in Bumblebee Unlike the other movie version, this Optimus still displays fierce loyalty and kindness to the Autobots. He stays behind to fend off the Decepticons - in a really cool fight scene - giving the other Autobots the chance to escape Cybertron.

So many fans would love to see more of this Optimus. But given his total screen time of maybe 5 minutes and just as many voice lines, he unfortunately needs to be placed lower in the list. It may be the mecha anime talking, but Optimus Prime from Transformers Armada , Energon, and Cybertron gathers his strength through the power of friendship.

During Armada , he fights the Decepticons in order to allow Mini-Cons the ability to choose for themselves. Megatron, on the other hand, sees power and wishes to control it, which boils down to controlling all of the Mini-Cons.

And when they do, he allows himself to rely on the other Autobots. But all things considered, this Optimus is very cookie-cutter and one-dimensional. Perhaps the most controversial version of Optimus, the first run of the IDW Transformers comics allowed all of the Transformers characters room for change and development. Thanks to a different flexibility than what television offers and a smaller executive pipeline, writers had a decent amount of freedom to do what they wanted with this universe.

However, due to multiple writers, this led to some inconsistencies with character interpretation. Optimus was not exempt from this. For the most part, this is definitely Optimus Prime, and a greatly nuanced version at that. However, he does abandon leadership with the Autobots at least two times once during the first story arc on Earth and again during The Death of Optimus Prime. Many would think that because he is an Autobot that it would be difficult to show forth any emotion at all, but Optimus Prime expresses sadness whenever he loses a team member or when he sees a human in danger.

He has the instincts of a hero and shows them by his actions. While others may criticize Optimus Prime for failing in some aspect, his actions are always for the right reason. When the diesel emissions of fear and death circle around the largest Autobots, Optimus Prime stands tall with courage and we will always be able to rely on his example.

Perhaps the most famous instance of this takes place in Transformers: The Movie After conquering Cybertron, Megatron travels to Earth to face Optimus once and for all. In a battle of epic proportions, the two rivals mortally wound each other, resulting in the latter dying after passing on the Matrix of Leadership to Ultra Magnus. Calling back to franchise supervillain Unicron, nothing demonstrates great teamwork quite like the time Optimus and Megatron shook hands to form the armada.

The occurrence happens in the Japanese animated television show Transformers: Armada where the introduction of mini-cons causes the planet eater to activate. After several attempts to win Megatron's allegiance, the rivals join forces when Unicron finally awakens. Legendary battles are the stuff of great rivalries, and Optimus and Megatron have shared some real doozies over the years.

In fact, they've had such great fights that the thought of a permanent alliance almost seems sinful. From the space bridge skirmish in Transformers: Prime to the epic wars of the movie franchise, nothing quite says Transformers like a clash between these two titans. Perhaps the best example is G1's Battle of the Sherman Dam. Armed with melee weapons, the two clobber each other on a catwalk to the backdrop of crashing waves.

However, Megatron ultimately gains the upper hand when Optimus is momentarily distracted by cries for help, knocking his opponent into the reservoir below. Transformers G1 saw the rise of a new global pandemic known as the Hate Plague — a disease so powerful it could even infect the likes of a Cybertronian. When infected, a Cybertronian instantly turns the color red, becoming wildly aggressive towards everyone and every thing around it.

Optimus Prime and Megatron once again align in order to thwart this new deadly virus, which infects many Decepticons upon outbreak.
