Hi folks, Please tell me for Fastest Download what these points should be set at For example, 2 or 3 or Q2: in JD2, what should Chunks be set at? Again, for example, 2 or 3 or what Thanks, G! Depends on your connection - adjust it so it suits your needs. It's the same for JD1 and JD2 as both always download at the max possible speed.
You just shouldn't set it to max 20 for no reason as it unnecessarily stresses your HDD and won't gain you more speed. I set max sim downloads per hoster to 4. Any idea what might be going wrong? I have been using those accounts fine for the past month or so and I didn't have any issues with them. Here is a recent logfile Note that this is a restriction on httpd for each download server, so if you get the same fileserver for each file you download you can hit this limit quickly.
Its hard for JDownloader to manage this limit when people download in JDownloader and outside as the slots are used and JD has no knowledge. Best bet is to reduce max sim dls and max chunks, until you can download again. I have always set the max chunks to 1. Also, I had the max sim dl set to 15, with three premium account that's 5 downloads on average per account. Thank you for responding, raztoki.
As per your suggestion, how can desired throughput be achieved with single-file downloads? Perhaps I am misunderstanding the available options in JD2. Based on my limited understanding, maximum simultaneous downloads will only prove advantageous for multi-file downloads. Is this not correct? That said, I do not know if increasing the chunks on the individual files would make any discernible difference.
Please advise. So not possible for single file or even multiple files. Hi, I was wondering if there's a way to set not only maximum but also min number of connections used? I would like to be able to alter this number - changing maximum connections setting doesn't help.
Last edited by Jiaz; I don't completly understand your post. Atm if you set 6 Chunks and start a download, then you change the number of connections while downloading or stop the download, change it and resume jd will use the number set when the download started so the only way to change the number of chunks for a started download is to reset it downloaded data of this file will be lost.
